David Tressler serves as 6K’s General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer, leading the company’s legal, regulatory, and compliance functions and serving as the primary legal advisor to the CEO, management team, and Board of Directors. He has nearly two decades of experience representing global companies, with a track record of enabling the commercialization of complex new technology and maturing legal, regulatory, and compliance teams to support scaling businesses.
Most recently, David was Deputy General Counsel of Waymo, LLC, the autonomous driving technology company that grew out of Google and remains a subsidiary of Alphabet, Inc. Prior to Waymo, David was a partner at global law firm Kirkland & Ellis LLP in Chicago, where he practiced for more than 10 years representing global clients in numerous high-stakes matters. He is also an intelligence officer in the U.S. Army Reserve and serves on the Board of Directors of the non-profit Silicon Valley Campaign for Legal Services. David earned his law degree from Harvard Law School.
