Materials Award for 6K’s LCA-backed Ni718 Powders

A collaboration of world-leading organizations analyzed real-world data to capture the holistic impacts of AM part production. The outcome shows that in combination, 6K’s UniMelt plasma production process and Ni718 high-quality metal AM powder produced from scrap, was shown to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions compared to conventional atomization processes.

Additive Manufacturing Green Trade Association

The AMGTA was launched in 2019 by a group of organizations throughout the manufacturing ecosystem and around the world who understood the potential for significant environmental benefits in additive manufacturing. This group understood the power of combining and organizing their efforts to raise awareness, addressing the pressing questions, and leading by example.

Additive Manufacturing Users Group

The Additive Manufacturing Users Group’s (AMUG), originally called 3D Systems North American Stereolithography Users Group, previously had a sole focus on the advancement of stereolithography (SL) use with the owners and operators of 3D Systems’ equipment. Today, AMUG educates and supports users of all additive manufacturing technologies.

Li-Bridge

Li-Bridge is a public-private alliance committed to accelerating the development of a robust and secure domestic supply chain for lithium-based batteries.

Argonne leads coordination of Li-Bridge by serving as the facilitator between private industry and the Federal Consortium for Advanced Batteries, which released a National Blueprint for Lithium Batteries, 2021 – 2030. The Blueprint aims to put the U.S. on a path to long-term competitiveness in the global battery value chain.

The Merrimack Valley Chamber of Commerce

Military Power Sources Consortium

The Military Power Sources Consortium (MPSC) was formed in July 2022, as a non-profit dedicated to representing the needs of the entire life cycle of the domestic military power production base.  The MPSC has been in existence for over 15 years, starting out as the NDIA Thermal and Reserve Battery Committee.
