Inho Hwang has over 19 years of experience in technology innovation and strategy for batteries and advanced materials from both a large Korean corporation and US startup companies. As Senior Director for Global Strategy and Business Development at 6K, he is developing business and collaboration opportunities with partners throughout the whole battery supply chain, from materials companies to battery cell makers and automotive OEMs.
Prior to joining 6K, Mr. Hwang was at a US startup developing advanced battery technology and led strategic partnerships and new business development with battery companies and auto OEMs. Before taking a startup adventure, Inho spent over 16 years at LG Chem, a global materials and battery company, where he had various roles in R&D, Product Commercialization, R&D Planning, Technology Strategy, and Open Innovation. He headed LG Chem’s Open Innovation and Corporate Venturing functions in the US and led multiple successful collaborations with startups, venture capitals, and universities to develop new business opportunities aligning the corporate strategy of LG Chem. Inho has a BS and MS degree from Seoul National University in Materials Science and Engineering.
